White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt noted that Iran continues to express its intention to reach an agreement with the Washington administration.
White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt answered journalists' questions regarding the situation in the Middle East and US policies during her daily press briefing. Leavitt stated that she had recently discussed the matter with President Donald Trump, adding that the Tehran administration continues its request to reach an agreement with the US following the intense operations carried out by the American military.
Leavitt also touched upon the background of the recent US attacks against Iran, asserting that the operations stemmed from Tehran's violation of the signed memorandum of understanding. Leavitt claimed that, within the framework of the agreement, Iran should not have fired upon commercial vessels using the Strait of Hormuz, but that the administration had made an extremely wrong decision by breaking this rule.
Spokesperson Leavitt also underlined that Trump would in no way remain indifferent to such active acts of terror occurring in the Strait of Hormuz.
