Mawlid programs were organized for the martyrs in Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
A mawlid was read for the martyrs before the noon prayer in all mosques in the city center by Gaziantep Governorship.
In the program held in the historical Aleybey Mosque, the Holy Quran was read and Provincial Mufti Mustafa Soykök prayed.
Soykök stated that they came together to commemorate the martyrs and drew attention to the importance of keeping the love of the homeland and the longing for martyrdom alive.
Deputy Governor İlker Eker, Gaziantep University Rector Prof. attended the program. Dr. Sait Mesut Doğan, Provincial Police Chief Celal Özcan, Regional Director of Foundations Erdoğan Tunç and citizens attended.
After the prayer, citizens were served lokma and sherbet.
In the program held at the historical Balıklıgöl Campus in Şanlıurfa, the Holy Quran and Mevlid-i Şerif were read and prayers were made for the martyrs.
Deputy Governor Metehan Toy, protocol members, police, soldiers and many citizens attended the program held at the Dergah Mosque.
After the program, ashure, sugar and rose water were served to the citizens by Şanlıurfa Regional Directorate of Foundations.
In the program held at Kernek Karagözlüler Mosque in Malatya, the Holy Quran and Mevlid-i Şerif were read and prayers were made for the martyrs.
Governor Seddar Yavuz, 2nd Army Commander Lieutenant General Zorlu Topaloğlu, 7th Main Jet Base Commander Air Pilot Brigadier General Serdar Akkoyun, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Sami Er, Provincial Police Chief Kayhan Ay, Deputy Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Gendarmerie Colonel Ahmet Erekici, AK Party Malatya Provincial Chairman Ali Bakan and citizens attended the program.
After the program, Malatya Regional Directorate of Foundations served Turkish delight, rose water and ashoura to the citizens.
In the program held at the Ulu Mosque in Kahramanmaraş, after the Mevlid-i Şerif and the recitation of the Holy Quran, Provincial Mufti Hasan Hüseyin Güler prayed for the martyrs.
After the program, various refreshments were served in the mosque courtyard by the Regional Directorate of Foundations.
Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer, Metropolitan Mayor Fırat Görgel, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Ali Gemalmaz, Provincial Police Chief Hasan Yiğit and citizens attended the program.
In Adıyaman, on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, the martyrs' cemetery was visited and a Mawlid was read for the martyrs.
Governor Abdullah Küçük and protocol members visited Adıyaman Martyrs' Cemetery within the scope of the events and left carnations on the graves of the martyrs.
After the recitation of the Holy Quran, prayers were made for the martyrs.
Later, in the program held before the noon prayer at Meydan Mosque, Mevlid-i Şerif was read and prayers were made for the martyrs.
After the program, Turkish delight was served to the citizens by the Regional Directorate of Foundations.
