(TBMM) - İYİ Party Samsun Deputy Erhan Usta reacted to the tax exemption regulation for nuclear energy investments by saying, "This situation is the result of the wrong foreign policy that has been maintained for years and the dependency relationship that Türkiye has been put into against Russia. The nation will pay the price for this again."
In his post on his social media account, İYİ Party Samsun MP Erhan Usta criticized the regulation adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Planning and Budget Commission regarding the exemption of contracts and other investment documents from stamp duty in nuclear power plant investments.
Usta noted that a regulation concerning Türkiye's billions of dollars was "hastily" passed in the commission today with a last-minute motion. Reminding that the basic agreements of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant were signed years ago, Usta said, "The legal infrastructure of the project had already been completed. Despite this, new advantages worth billions of dollars were provided to the public without disclosing the cost." The master included the following statements in his post:

Decisions that concern the nation's billions of dollars are not made with last-minute maneuvers. "It should be taken with transparency, accountability and inspection on behalf of the nation."
