25-year-old football player Cenk Özkacar, with whom Trabzonspor is in transfer negotiations, came to the city.
Valencia player Cenk, one of the Spanish La Liga teams, made a statement to journalists at Trabzon Airport, where he came to hold transfer negotiations with the claret-blue club.
Emphasizing that he was very happy to be transferred to Trabzonspor, Cenk said, "It makes me proud to be a part of such a city, such a community, such a football culture. I hope I can show that I am worthy of this city and this community with my performance on and off the field." he said.
Cenk stated that the transfer process took place in a short time and said, "While I was in Valencia, negotiations were held and completed quickly for 2-3 days. I can say that it went quickly. I am here now, I am very happy. I hope that I will be able to show a better performance than last season in Trabzonspor. My first goal is to fight for the club's goal. Then, I hope I can carry my club performance to the national team stage again as soon as possible." he said.
Stating that he has not yet met with coach Fatih Tekke, Cenk said, "There is a good competition here. Competition is always an important element for all players to take their performance to the next level. Being in this competition will reflect positively on my performance." he said.
Stating that he knew Trabzonspor's striker onuachu from the Belgian League, Cenk said, "Apart from him, Ernest Muçi and Oulai came to my mind. There are very good players in our team.
