Events were held in Amasya and Sinop on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In the program held at Tekirdede Martyrs' Cemetery, carnations were left on the graves of the martyrs, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made.
Governor Önder Minister emphasized that the Turkish nation proved its commitment to democracy with an epic resistance against the treacherous coup attempt on July 15, 2016.
Stating that the dark night came to light with the will of the nation, the Minister said, "As we mark our 10th anniversary, we remember once again that democracy is our strongest value that brings us together on common ground. We continue to operate with determination for the survival of our state and the peace of our nation in line with our vision of the Türkiye Century." he said.
Mayor Turgay Sevindi, Garrison Commander Brigadier General Kemal Çakıroğlu, institution managers, political party representatives and citizens attended the program.

As part of the activities, the exhibition "Our Will, Our Victory" was held in Sinop.
The opening of the exhibition organized by the students of Sinop BIST Martyr Ertan Yılmaztürk Fine Arts High School at the Historical Sinop Prison and Museum was attended by Governor Mustafa Özarslan, Provincial Police Chief Sibel Kılıçoğlu, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Hakan Başaklıgil, Sinop University Rector Prof. Dr. It was made with the participation of Şakir Taşdemir.
