On the 10th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt of July 15, Kayseri business world was in the streets again. Members of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Kayseri Chamber of Commerce (KTO), Kayseri Chamber of Industry (KAYSO), Kayseri Commodity Exchange (KTB) and MÜSİAD Kayseri Branch, representatives of industrial zones met with the public at the 'Democracy Tent' they set up in Republic Square on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
Commemoration programs; It started with the '15 July Will is Ours, Victory is Ours March', which started in front of the Kartal Martyrs' Cemetery with the participation of Kayseri Governorship and the provincial protocol. Participating in the march with Turkish flags in their hands, KTO, KAYSO, KTB, MÜSİAD presidents and board members walked to Cumhuriyet Square with the citizens and gave a message of unity and solidarity. Programs held in Republic Square; KTO President Ömer Gülsoy, KAYSO President Mehmet Büyüksimitci, KTB Vice President Bekir Çizmeli, MÜSİAD Kayseri Branch President Ferhat Akmermer, Mimarsinan OSB President Mehmet Arar and board members from each institution attended. In the common democracy tent, which was also visited by the protocol, people were chatted and various refreshments were served. Within the scope of the program, prayers were made for the martyrs in the events that lasted until late hours, and the meaning and importance of July 15 was emphasized. KTO Chairman of the Board of Directors Ömer Gülsoy made the following statements in his statement at the commemoration program:
"July 15 is not just the repelling of a dark coup attempt; it is a historical resurrection epic in which the Turkish nation declared to the whole world that its independence and future cannot be shackled. Exactly 10 years ago, our heroic nation, which shielded itself against the treacherous groups that infiltrated our state, showed that it would never compromise its independence. As Kayseri business world, we are in the squares again with the faith and determination of the first day. These hearts beating in unity in the Republic Square are the guarantee of our future. Its political view is, "Our fellow citizens, who are united in their love for the homeland, regardless of their profession, have once again shouted that the Republic of Turkey is not abandoned. As representatives of the business world, we will always be the most loyal sentinels of this just cause and our democracy. I would like to thank all our fellow citizens who did not leave us alone in our Democracy Tent, I commemorate our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our country and express my gratitude to our veterans."
Büyüksimitci: "We stand by our democracy with our production and employment"
In his evaluation, KAYSO Chairman of the Board of Directors Mehmet Büyüksimitci said; "On the night of July 15, 2016, it was not only our sovereignty that our nation protected at the cost of its life, but also the bright future of our country. As a business world, it is our top priority to protect the rule of law and democracy, which are targeted by traitors. We have not and will not recognize any structure that does not derive its power from the nation. We continue to give the best answer to this treacherous mentality by turning the wheels, producing and growing in our factories. On its 10th anniversary, we have not forgotten this vile attempt and will never let it be forgotten. "I emphasize once again; I commemorate all our martyrs with gratitude," he said.
