In Bilecik, protocol members commemorated the martyr Ulş on the occasion of July 15. Specialist Sgt. Abdurrahman Hilal's family was visited.
Bilecik Governor Faik Oktay Sözer met with the family of Transportation Specialist Sergeant Abdurrahman Hilal, who was martyred after being injured in a military vehicle accident that occurred in the Claw-Lock Operation Zone in 2026, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Bilecik Gendarmerie Training Commander Brigadier General Yusuf Aslan, Provincial Police Chief Erdem Çağlar, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Gendarmerie Senior Colonel Ali Vanlı, Military Service Branch Head Personnel Lieutenant İsmail Benli, Provincial Mufti Ahmet Dilek and Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Nejat İlhan also attended the visit. Expressing their condolences and wishes for patience to the family of the martyr, the delegation emphasized that the state and the nation are always with the families of the martyrs. During the visit, the Quran was read and prayers were said, while martyr Abdurrahman Hilal was remembered with mercy and gratitude.
Governor Faik Oktay Sözer stated that the families of martyrs are the most precious trusts of the nation and said, "On the anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, I commemorate our beloved martyr Abdurrahman Hilal with mercy and gratitude and express my patience and condolences to his precious family. The families of our martyrs entrusted to us are always the crown jewel of our state and nation.
