CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu published a message on the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt.
In the message he shared on his virtual media account, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "July 15 is a historical turning point that shows us all with bitter experience the great danger that the Republic of Turkey faces, the seriousness of the imperialist danger that wants to eliminate our democracy and constitutional order, and that our brotherhood is above all else. The damage caused to our country by parallel structures that rot the state and political institution from the inside, destroy merit and tie loyalty to illegal centers, is the biggest threat to our independence. Our unitary state structure "Our guarantee is our common destiny consciousness and uncompromising democracy. It is our primary duty to glorify our state with reason, merit and justice, and to march towards the future in brotherhood under the command of imperialism. I thank each and every one of our citizens who stood by our democracy and national unity against the coup attempt of parallel structures under the command of imperialism. I commemorate our martyrs of July 15 with mercy, gratitude and respect."
12-ARTICLE CALL FOR DEMOCRACY AND REPUBLIC
In his post, Kılıçdaroğlu listed 12 suggestions in order not to lose the basis of democracy and to protect the values of the Republic. Kılıçdaroğlu; He stated that it is necessary to impose a political ban on barracks, places of worship and courthouses, to establish an independent and impartial judiciary, to protect the unitary and secular state structure, to ensure merit in the state, to protect the founding values of the Republic, to strengthen political consensus and brotherhood, to transition to a strong parliamentary system, to protect independent and free media, to build a questioning education system, to develop a culture of self-criticism, to eliminate the grievances of conspiracies and to not deviate from the law in the fight against coup plotters.
Kılıçdaroğlu also said, "The greatest truth that July 15 taught us is this: The state cannot be handed over to any structure, community, group or group. The owner of the state is the nation; the manifestation of the nation's will is the Gazi Parliament. With this awareness, it is our common responsibility to walk into the future by staying within the law, growing democracy, strengthening our Republic and protecting our brotherhood."
