Commemoration programs were held in Korkuteli on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. July 15 martyr Yasin Naci Ağaroğlu was commemorated at his grave in Yazır neighborhood of Korkuteli.
Yasin Naci Ağaroğlu, a senior student at Ankara University Faculty of Law, who was martyred as a result of the shooting in front of the General Staff Headquarters during the coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), was commemorated at his grave in Yazır District of Korkuteli on his 10th anniversary.
Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin and accompanying protocol members first visited his grave in Yazır neighborhood of Korkuteli on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day and left carnations.
At the "15 July Democracy and National Unity" day commemoration ceremony held at the cemetery in Yazır District of Korkuteli district, Imams affiliated with the Korkuteli Mufti's Office read the Quran at the grave of the martyrs.
Addressing the participants at the cemetery after the Quran recitation and prayer, Osman Ağaroğlu, father of July 15 Martyr Yasin Naci Ağaroğlu, said, "May our day of national unity be a blessing. Today is the day when the charlatans who tried to give their money to foreign powers 10 years ago were abandoned. Today is not a birthday, but a day of honor. We act with our heads held high. We do not want to leave our country to those marauders." We are proud of having martyrs. Those who do not live with courage die with their captivity. Because there is no captivity in the future of a nation that has martyrdom in its school. That price is the blood that makes the flags a flag. "It is our homeland. That's why this nation is always on the alert and has to be alert at all times," he said.
Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin said, "It has been 10 years since the treacherous coup attempt. But our pain is still fresh. We have not forgotten our martyrs, we will not forget them. The martyrs of this country deserve all the flowers. They are our honor and pride." - ANTALYA
