Two suspects apprehended in an organized crime operation in Kuşadası district of Aydın were sent to prison by the judicial authorities they were referred to.
An Istanbul-centered operation targeting organized crime groups was carried out by gendarmerie teams. According to information obtained, an operation was conducted in the İkiçeşmelik Neighborhood against suspects determined to be operating on behalf of organized crime groups in Istanbul and to have come to Aydın's Kuşadası district with the aim of fleeing to European countries. During the operation, it was determined that H.Ö. (26), who had 47 criminal records, was sought for various crimes with a definitive prison sentence of 10 years, 9 months, and 15 days, and M.T. (18), who had 5 criminal records and had been sought as missing since January 12, 2026, was sought for various crimes with a definitive prison sentence of 6 years and 4 months. During a search at the address, 2 unlicensed pistols, 1 mobile phone, 1 computer, 7 pistol cartridges, and 28 empty Lyrica drug capsules were seized. The two suspects taken into custody were arrested and sent to prison by the judicial authorities they were brought before, following the necessary procedures. - AYDIN
