In Serik district of Antalya, 4 suspects who were determined to defraud citizens via social media were caught in an operation organized by Gendarmerie teams.
According to the information obtained, an investigation was launched following complaints of fraud made by some citizens in Serik to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Taking action in line with the instructions of the Serik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Serik District Gendarmerie Command teams identified the suspects as a result of their activities.
During the investigations, it was determined that the suspects contacted citizens from various provinces via social media and committed fraud over the phone using their IBAN and cryptocurrency accounts.
4 suspects caught during the operation were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie were completed.
It was learned that the investigation into the incident continues under the coordination of the Serik Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. - ANTALYA
