Volkan Baykal, the driver of the truck that overturned on the TEM Highway in Çorlu district of TEKİRDAĞ, lost his life.
The accident occurred at around 21.30, approximately 3 kilometers from the Çorlu toll booth area of the TEM Highway. The truck with German plate WL 5495 G, driven by Volkan Baykal, heading towards Istanbul, overturned on the side of the road as a result of its driver losing control of the steering wheel. Upon the notice of other drivers, highway gendarmerie, health and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene of the traffic incident. In the investigation carried out by the teams, it was determined that the driver Baykal lost his life. Baykal's lifeless body was taken to the Çorlu State Hospital morgue after the public prosecutor's examination.
Gendarmerie launched an investigation into the accident.
