Tunceli Governor Şefik Aygöl, who made a speech about the meaning and importance of the day at the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day program in Tunceli, said, "No matter what difficulties we have encountered throughout history, we have managed to overcome all obstacles when we stood shoulder to shoulder. On the 10th anniversary of the coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016, various programs and events were organized in Tunceli, as well as throughout Türkiye. The commemoration program held at Tunceli Museum started with the opening speech made by Tunceli Governor Aygöl. Then, the flag was presented to Governor Aygöl, the Holy Quran was read, July 15-themed compositions were performed by the students, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's speech was watched live. The commemoration program continued with intense participation with various music and shows.

Speaking about the meaning and importance of the day, Governor Aygöl said, "Today, we came together on the tenth anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt, which targeted the will of our nation, our democracy and the survival of our state, on the occasion of July 15 democracy and national unity day. This year, July 15, which we understand with the theme of 'our will, our victory,' is a historical turning point that reminds us once again that our nation will never compromise on its freedom, independence and national will. July 15 is not only It is not the date when a coup attempt was thwarted. It is also proof that our beloved nation protected its homeland, flag, independence and democracy at the expense of its own life. In that dark night, our citizens stood as one, with their courage, foresight and unwavering belief. Our nation declared to the whole world that it does not recognize any power beyond its will, and with this epic, it is written in indelible letters. The greatest value that makes our nation strong is the spirit of unity and solidarity. No matter what difficulties we have faced throughout history, we have managed to overcome all obstacles.
