The thoroughbred named Nesib won the Governorship race, one of the most important races of the year, at Elazığ Hippodrome. It was raced on a 2 thousand meter sand track with the participation of 4+ year old Thoroughbred horses. Nesib, owned by Erkut Şahin, became the winner with a finishing time of 2.34.19 with his jockey Aziz Akdemir.
At the ceremony held after the race, Deputy Governor Muhammed Sait Baytok presented the cup to Erkut Şahin on behalf of the owner of the winning thoroughbred. - ELAZIG
