Samet Uslu, registered to the Akçaabat district of Trabzon, who was martyred as a result of the fire opened by coup plotter soldiers in Istanbul during the treacherous coup attempt carried out by FETO members on July 15, 2016, was commemorated with prayers in a program held at his grave on the 10th anniversary of his martyrdom.
Trabzon Governor Tahir Şahin, provincial protocol, the martyr's family, relatives and citizens attended the commemoration program held at his grave in Akçaabat. The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers were made for martyr Samet Uslu and all the martyrs. After the program, the participants left carnations on the grave of the martyr and expressed their condolences to his family.
Making a statement after the program, Trabzon Governor Tahir Şahin stated that FETO attempted a treacherous coup against the will of our beloved nation 10 years ago and that 253 citizens were martyred during this attempt. Stating that Trabzon stood by its homeland, nation and national will on the night of July 15, as it did throughout history, Şahin said, "Today, we visited the grave of our brother Samet Uslu, one of the sons of Trabzon, who stood by his country, his nation and his beloved will, as in every period of history, together with his esteemed family and our provincial protocol, and prayed."
Emphasizing that they will continue to fight with determination against any attempt to betray the will of the nation, Şahin said, "We will always continue to stand tall, as we did yesterday under the leadership of our President, against all formations and all treason networks that will attack the pure will of the nation in Trabzon and all over the country. We will transfer this determination to all our children.
