Hadi Çelik, who is engaged in animal husbandry in Turhal district of TOKAT, first attended his friend's engagement ceremony with a tick attached to his leg, and then went to the hospital.
Hadi Çelik, a married father of one living in Necip village of Turhal district, noticed a tick attached to his left leg. Stating that he frequently encounters ticks in the field due to his involvement in animal husbandry, Çelik came to the city center with the tick on his leg because it was his childhood friend's engagement ceremony. After the engagement, Çelik went to the State Hospital in Pazar district, where the tick was removed with medical intervention.
Recounting his experience, Hadi Çelik said, "We are engaged in small ruminant husbandry, so naturally, we roam in the fields. We inevitably come into contact with ticks from the animals. This is the third time a tick has attached to me today. It might be the 30th time for my brother. We don't do much about it anymore; we just get them removed at the hospital, of course. I noticed it late today as well. My friend also had his ring ceremony. I said, 'Let's put on the ring first, and then we'll go to the hospital to have it removed.' It was only delayed by 1-2 hours due to the ring ceremony. I noticed it was attached when I pulled up my trousers during an itch, and after that, we didn't pay much attention to it anyway. The precaution we can take is not to touch it. They say, 'Don't touch it with your hands,' so we don't do that; we go and have it removed at the hospital."
