Muş Governor Avni Çakır inspected the area where search activities were carried out to find 10-year-old Berat Karakaya, who fell into the Murat River.
Çakır, who went to the region with Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Özgür Özel, received information about the activities and met with Karakaya's family.
Governor Çakır stated that search activities will continue uninterruptedly to find Karakaya and that all the resources of the state have been mobilized.
Çakır stated that the teams and relevant institutions working with great sacrifice and dedication are working in a coordinated manner in the field, and said:
"All institutions of our state are working in coordination to find our child who disappeared after falling into the Murat River. A comprehensive search activity is being carried out with the participation of teams from Muş as well as surrounding provinces. We consider that our child may be stuck somewhere or in a hollow spot at the bottom of the river. In such cases, it may take time for the person to surface. Our citizens can rest assured. Our teams are doing everything necessary. We may need to be patient in this regard. We have carried out a total of 16 dives so far. Diving in the region is quite arduous, However, our teams continue their activities uninterruptedly to find our missing child."
