Nazilli District Health Directorate continues its field activities to draw attention to the importance of early diagnosis in cancer. Cancer Early Diagnosis Screening and Training Center (KETEM) teams serving within the Cumhuriyet Healthy Life Center invited citizens to cancer screenings within the scope of field activities carried out in Pınarbaşı and Aydoğdu Neighborhoods. In the statement made by the directorate, the citizens who participated in the mammography and HPV screening invitation were thanked. In the statement, it was emphasized that early diagnosis saves lives and citizens of the appropriate age group were asked not to neglect regular screenings. Accordingly, it was stated that women between the ages of 40-69 should have a mammogram for breast cancer every 2 years, women between the ages of 30-65 should have an HPV-DNA test for cervical cancer every 5 years, and women and men between the ages of 50-70 should have a fecal occult blood test (FOBT) every 2 years within the scope of colorectal (large intestine) cancer screening. Nazilli District Health Directorate invited citizens in the specified age groups to apply to their family physicians and Cumhuriyet Healthy Life Center KETEM to benefit from free cancer screenings. - AYDIN
