I realized this after an injury I had when I was 20 years old. I think I was 20 years old when we were eliminated by South Korea in the Tokyo Olympics. If I had not had this level of mental strength at that time, I would never have been able to play volleyball again after that day. "I could have quit volleyball," he said.
While touching on the importance of mental health on athletes, the national star also shared a critical moment he experienced this season and said, "I had an anxiety attack during a match we played this season. However, I managed to control myself incredibly. After the match ended, I was able to take a deep breath and only then did I start to shake." he said.
Zehra Güneş, who draws an exemplary profile not only with her success in volleyball but also with her discipline and hobbies off the field, said, "I love waking up early in the morning. "The first thing I do is drink my coffee and write a diary about how my day will go, almost from a third person's perspective."
