Erzincan Special Provincial Administration Sports Club finished the first stage of the Turkish Badminton Super League as the leader, and Erzincan Telekom Sports Club finished in the second place.
In the first stage of the league, Erzincan Special Provincial Administration Sports Club ranked first with 33 points, while Erzincan Telekom Sports Club came second with 30 points. The results obtained revealed the success of sports investments and infrastructure activities carried out in the city in recent years.
Erzincan Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate continues its activities in different branches with its modern sports facilities, coaching staff and athlete training activities. While there are more than 35 thousand licensed athletes and 57 national athletes throughout the city, thousands of people have the opportunity to do sports in the facilities throughout the year.
In addition to its successes within the scope of school sports and the Athlete Talent Screening and Sports Orientation Program, Erzincan introduces thousands of children to sports every year through GSB Summer Sports Schools.
On the other hand, with the latest appointments made by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the coaching staff within the Provincial Directorate has been strengthened. 10 new coaches joined the existing 45 permanent and 21 EYS coaches.
Within the scope of the appointments, coaches are assigned to fencing, judo, skiing, taekwondo, tennis and swimming branches, with the aim of strengthening the infrastructure in existing sports branches and providing qualified training to more athletes.
Erzincan, which has achieved significant success in branches such as wrestling, athletics and shooting, as well as badminton, aims to continue to train new national athletes by strengthening its sports infrastructure. - ERZİNCAN
