Anatolian Stars League 1st Stage 8th Group Volleyball Competitions held in Şırnak have been completed.
In the three-day organization held at the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports Indoor Sports Hall with the participation of approximately 280 athletes from 10 provinces, the teams that qualified for the Türkiye semi-finals in boys and girls were announced.
Accordingly, the Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa and Adıyaman men's teams, and the girls' Şırnak, Diyarbakır and Gaziantep teams came first in their groups and gained the right to participate in the semi-finals to be held in Elazığ on 24-26 July.
After the competitions, the teams were given medals and certificates of achievement.
Kadir Salar from Diyarbakır men's team, who came first in his group, told the AA reporter that he was happy because they played good matches in the tournament in Şırnak for 3 days and came first in their group.
Stating that they qualified to participate in the semi-finals to be held in Elazığ, Salar said, "We won all our matches in Şırnak. We are hopeful to participate in the Turkish finals as champions in Elazığ." he said.
Ecrin Yiğit from Şırnak girls' team, who came first, stated that they were happy to get out of their group and said, "I am proud of my teammates for achieving this success. We are all very happy. It was a very competitive tournament for us. We came this far as a result of great efforts. Thank God, our efforts paid off. From now on, we want to do our best in Elazığ and become champions. I also thank my coaches for their efforts." he said.
