A simultaneous "Narcotics Field Operation" was carried out at 24 points in Mersin.

According to a statement from the Provincial Police Department, the operation was conducted in Mersin city center and its districts to prevent drug use and trafficking, apprehend wanted suspects, and maintain general public order and safety.

The operation, named "Narcotics Field Operation," was carried out at 24 locations with the participation of 76 teams and 234 personnel.

Within the scope of the operation, identity checks were performed on 3,214 individuals, and 1,454 vehicles were queried.

As part of the operation, administrative fines totaling 532,776 Turkish Liras were issued to 10 drivers who violated traffic rules.

During the operation, 29 individuals who failed to report for military service and 2 suspects wanted for various crimes were apprehended.

During searches conducted on 6 suspects, teams seized 5 synthetic pharmaceuticals, 3.87 grams of cannabis, a quantity of synthetic drugs, and 10 synthetic pills. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects.
