MOSCOW, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Russia announced that approximately 340 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting the capital Moscow in the last 24 hours were detected and destroyed.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said in his statement on Tuesday, "340 UAVs targeted the Moscow region in the last 24 hours. Most of them were neutralized by long-range air defense elements stationed outside the capital. More than 50 UAVs approaching Moscow were also destroyed."

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that they attacked 148 separate targets in one day, including the facilities where long-range UAVs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are stored and assembled, as well as the temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian military units.
