The "Commemoration of July 15 Martyrs and Mawlid Program" was organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
According to the statement made by the Presidency, within the scope of the program organized throughout the country, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were made for the martyrs in all mosques before the noon prayer.
President of Religious Affairs Safi Arpaguş also attended the program held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mosque.
The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Mevlid-i Şerif and hymns were read. The martyrs were commemorated with mercy with the prayer made by President Arpaguş.
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, President of the Constitutional Court Kadir Özkaya and Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, as well as chairmen of political parties, group chairmen, group deputy chairmen, commission chairmen, deputies, Parliament employees, veterans and citizens attended the program.
