Events were held in Bursa, Çanakkale, Kütahya, Bilecik, Yalova and Balıkesir on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

Hamitler and Pınarbaşı martyrs' cemeteries were visited within the scope of the commemoration programs organized by Bursa Governorship.

Protocol members visited the Hamitler Martyrs' Cemetery. Then, the protocol visited Pınarbaşı Martyrdom, left carnations on the graves and prayed. After the recitation of the Holy Quran, Bursa Governor Erol Ayyıldız chatted with the relatives of the martyrs.

After the visits to the martyrs' cemetery, a mawlid was read in the Grand Mosque.

Governor Ayyıldız, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba, Bursa Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General İdris Tataroğlu, Bursa Provincial Police Chief Kadir Gökce, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz, Osmangazi Mayor Erkan Aydın, political party representatives, martyrs' families, veterans and citizens attended the program.

A ceremony was held at the Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

The program, organized at the Martyrs' Monument by the Çanakkale Wars and Gallipoli Historical Area Directorate of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, under the auspices of the Çanakkale Governorship, started with the laying of a wreath on the Atatürk Monument by Governor Ömer Toraman.

The program continued with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, and then the protocol members left carnations at the symbolic martyrs' cemeteries.

The program ended with Quran recitation, Mawlid program, prayers and refreshments at the Martyrs' Memorial Mosque.

The program was attended by 2nd Corps Commander Major General Ferat Vural, Amphibious Corps Commander Rear Admiral Hüseyin Tığlı, Bosphorus and Garrison Commander Rear Admiral Mustafa Biçen, Çanakkale Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Kürşat Albayrak, Eceabat District Governor Kerem Yenigün, Çanakkale Wars Gallipoli Historical Area President İsmail Kaşdemir, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Gendarmerie Senior. Colonel Cemalettin Akyüz, Provincial Police Chief Ergün Dağıstanlı, Çanakkale Coast Guard Western Marmara Group Commander Lieutenant Colonel Orhan Student, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Rector Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, Australian Consul in Çanakkale Paul Crawford, military personnel, institution managers, veterans, other relevant persons and citizens attended.

On the other hand, visitors visited the Martyrs' Monument and martyrs' cemeteries on the Gallipoli Peninsula, where they arrived by bus.

In Kütahya, relatives of the martyrs and protocol members visited the Air Martyrs' Cemetery and Police Martyrs' Cemetery on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

Provincial Mufti officials read the Quran for the martyrs during the visits, and Deputy Provincial Mufti Kemal Bal prayed.

Quran course students, martyrs' relatives and protocol members read the Quran at the graves of the martyrs.

In his statement here, Kütahya Governor Musa Işın stated that they will celebrate July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day, and raise awareness of how the treacherous coup attempt was suppressed by the nation and how the difficulties encountered when united are overcome.

Işın and other protocol members expressed their condolences to the relatives of the martyrs by leaving carnations on the graves.

As part of the events, Mawlid was read and prayers were said for the martyrs in the historical Grand Mosque.

In Bilecik, protocol members visited the Bilecik Martyrs' Cemetery on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

The program started with a moment of silence and a firing of respect by the ceremonial squad.

Later, Bilecik Governor Faik Oktay Sözer, Gendarmerie Training Commander Brigadier General Yusuf Aslan and Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Asım Kaplancıklı left carnations on the graves of the martyrs.

Then Governor Sözer signed the Martyrdom Book.

In his speech at the program, Governor Sözer said that the coup attempt on July 15, 2016 was eliminated by the unshakable will of the beloved Turkish nation under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Emphasizing that the spirit of unity, solidarity and sacrifice demonstrated that night is an indication that the will of the nation cannot be shackled, Sözer said:

"This written epic has become the strongest sign that the homeland, flag and national will entrusted to us by our beloved martyrs will be protected with determination. Our nation will continue to protect its state, democracy and independence with the same spirit and determination today as it did yesterday."

The organization ended with the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers by Provincial Mufti Ahmet Dilek.

Provincial Police Chief Erdem Çağlar, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Ali Vanlı, Provincial General Assembly Chairman Ramazan Kurtulmuş, AK Party Provincial Chairman Serkan Yıldırım and other relevant persons attended the program.

The program organized in Yalova on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day started with a breakfast in honor of the relatives of martyrs and veterans.

Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta, protocol members, relatives of martyrs and veterans attended the program held at the Pratik Hotel.

Speaking in the program, Governor Usta said that the coup attempt on July 15, 2016 showed the spirit of unity and solidarity of the Turkish nation to the whole world.

Stating that it was a great betrayal for FETO members to point their guns at their own citizens and bomb the Turkish Grand National Assembly despite being raised with the resources of the nation, Usta said that it was a matter of pride that the citizens came to the squares and prevented the coup attempt.

Stating that the Turkish nation has shown strong reflexes against the difficulties it has faced throughout history, Usta emphasized that July 15 is one of the clearest examples of this.

Stating that the nation came to the streets upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Usta said, "This noble nation protected its republic, state and democracy at the expense of 253 martyrs and 2 thousand 737 veterans, with the understanding that if it is about the homeland, the rest is details. From now on, it will continue to protect it with the same determination." he said.

The master prayed that God would never let the nation experience such pain again, and said that those who are considering taking similar initiatives should carefully consider the determination of the Turkish nation.

Stating that Türkiye is no longer a country that accepts the roles assigned to it, but wants to have a say in the international arena, Usta pointed out the importance of preserving national unity and solidarity.

After the breakfast program, protocol members visited the military and police martyrs' cemetery in the City Cemetery. After the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayers, carnations were left on the graves of the martyrs.

In Balıkesir, martyrs' cemeteries were visited on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.

Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu and accompanying protocol members visited the city martyrs' cemetery.

Governor Ustaoğlu and his entourage left carnations on the graves and chatted with the families of the martyrs for a while.

During the visit, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were said.
