A disabled citizen, who was found to be driving in the wrong direction with his battery-powered vehicle in Malatya, alerted the traffic teams. Luckily, no one was injured in the accident where a car hit a power chair.
The incident took place around 14.30 in the Battalgazi Underpass area of the Malatya-Elazığ highway. According to the information obtained, traffic teams were directed to the area due to the battery chair that was detected to be moving in the opposite direction in the KGYS cameras. Before the teams reached the scene, a car crashed into the disabled vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The disabled citizen survived the accident without injury. While medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notice, the disabled citizen, who underwent a health check, did not accept to go to the hospital. The person said that he was in good health, stating that he accidentally entered the wrong direction because he confused the road while trying to turn, and that a braking car hit his vehicle.
