A national will march was held in Amasya on the occasion of "July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day". The mehter band that led the march made the city explode with the anthems they played.
Young people carried the giant Turkish flag in the enthusiastic march on Ziyapaşa Boulevard in the city of Princes. Citizens aged from 7 to 70 followed the march. After the march, a democracy watch was held in Yavuz Selim Square.
"This nation will never forget the FETO betrayal"
Stating that 10 years have passed since the coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) on July 15, 2016, Amasya Governor Önder Bakan said, "This nation will never forget the FETO betrayal. These traitors were sentenced to the punishment they deserved by Turkish justice and are now paying the price for what they did."
Emphasizing that Türkiye has carried out many successful operations with its strong army and loyal children in the 10-year period after the great betrayal, the Governor Minister said, "Today, by reaching an 82 percent localization rate in the defense industry, it has become in a position to develop UAVs and UCAVs, warships, submarines, satellites and all kinds of military and civilian technologies by using artificial intelligence technology with its local and national capabilities."
Reminding that on the night of July 15, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan invited the people to the streets with the words "I do not recognize any other will above the will of the nation", the Minister said, "As those who are devoted to the national will and democracy, we will always remember with honor the epic of July 15, the victory of the nation, which we wrote in golden letters in our glorious history, saying 'the will is ours, the victory is ours', in order to make the Turkey of the future more prosperous."
