The accident occurred around 14:00 on Mamak Street near Şafaktepe Park. The municipal bus with line number 334 and plate number 06 DV 5771, which was on the Kızılay-Zirvekent trip, crashed into the transformer and 3 vehicles on the street when its driver lost control of the steering wheel and entered the auto accessory shop. 7 people, including the bus driver, were injured in the accident. While the electricity was cut off in the region due to the damage to the transformer, health, police and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene of the traffic incident upon notice.
The injured were taken to surrounding hospitals after the first aid of medical teams. While police teams took security measures in the area, traffic was controlled for a while.
Ali Yağlı, who works as a tradesman on the street, said, "The bus was fast. People say 'the driver had a heart attack'. He was already in shock, he was not himself."
