'WE ARE CONDUCTING ACTIVE CONSULTANCY PROCESS IN 34 PROVINCES'
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş attended the opening ceremony of the sports games of the Selçuklu Autistic Individuals Education (SOBE) Foundation within the scope of his program in Konya. Minister Göktaş explained the importance of sports for individuals with autism. Explaining the projects they carried out as a Ministry for individuals with autism, Minister Göktaş said:
"As the Ministry, we are strengthening our activities day by day so that individuals with autism can participate in all areas of life. In this direction, we are taking multifaceted steps within the framework of our Second National Autism Action Plan covering the period 2023-2030. We are expanding the guidance and support services that our families need. In this context, we support our individuals with autism and their families with our Individual Social Service Consultancy service. In this context, we support 3 thousand individuals with autism through our 821 consultants in 34 provinces. We carry out an active consultancy process with 808 families. We also established the autism.gov.tr National Digital Information Platform so that our individuals and families with autism can quickly access accurate information. On this platform, we provide reliable and up-to-date information on many issues from early diagnosis to education. On the other hand, we detect risks early and support our children and families in a timely manner. All these activities we have implemented are a reflection of our understanding of the state that does not leave any of our citizens behind. "We will continue to mobilize all the resources of our state to ensure that our individuals with autism and their families have a stronger place in all areas of life."
