The incident took place in an agricultural land located on the side of the highway between Konya's Çeltik district and Eskişehir's Sivrihisar district. According to the information obtained, sparks from the combine harvester harvesting grain in the field within the borders of the district ignited the dry crops. With the influence of the wind, the flames spread over a wide area in a short time. Upon the notice of the citizens who noticed the fire, many fire brigades were dispatched to the region.
