The first commemoration program within the framework of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day programs was held at the martyrs' cemetery in Bilecik.
Bilecik Governor Faik Oktay Sözer and protocol members came together at the martyrs' cemetery in Bilecik city cemetery on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. The program, attended by the families of martyrs, veterans, provincial protocol, public institution managers and representatives of non-governmental organizations, started with a moment of silence and a salute from the soldiers, and then continued with Bilecik Governor Faik Oktay Sözer and his barbers laying carnations on the graves of the martyrs and praying.
After Governor Sözer signed the Martyrdom Book, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were said. Governor Sözer said, "We remember with mercy and gratitude all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our homeland and the unity and solidarity of our nation, and our heroic veterans with gratitude." - BİLECİK
