CHP Kars Deputy İnan Akgün Alp said, "CHP will be captured by fraud, plundered like piranhas, leaving debris behind and there will be no place to go." he said.
At the press conference he held in the Parliament, Alp touched upon the discussions within the CHP and criticized CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel and his team.
Stating that Özel and his friends filed objection petitions in different courts against the "absolute nullity" decision against the CHP, Alp said, "A separatist movement that started within the CHP is making these attempts as if to prove to the public that the current conditions of struggle in the CHP no longer exist. However, the CHP has started the regular congress process calendar."
Reminding that there were criticisms regarding the "absolute nullity" decision such as "This decision is unlawful, it is political, this decision was made by the pro-government branches of the AK Party", Alp stated that these criticisms were not correct and explained the evidence that was the basis for the "absolute nullity" decision.
Alp argued that some delegates were employed in CHP municipalities and were rewarded as municipal council members in return for their support to Özgür Özel.
Listing the names of some delegates who supported Özel and served in CHP municipalities, Alp said:
"These delegates, who voted in favor of Özgür Özel at the congress, became municipal council members in the election held 4 months later. Was it a lie? Were those who said 'The will of the congress was fraudulently included' traitors? Was it true that they sold the will of the congress and changed it in exchange for benefit? Was it true that their delegation was voted for in return for political future and prosperity? In the 38th Ordinary Congress of CHP, for their own political future, they took a place in their own municipal councils "It is clear that they voted for Özgür Özel in order to become mayor and to place their children in jobs in municipalities and municipal companies."
Alp said, "CHP will not be taken over by fraud, plundered like piranhas and left behind as a place to go." he said.
Inviting everyone to behave respectfully during this process, Alp stated that court decisions cannot be torn up and thrown away.
After his statement, Alp responded to a journalist's question about the claim that "Özgür Özel will establish a new party" as follows:
"A political journey, perhaps seen for the first time in the world, is beginning, initiated by politicians who are accused of allegations such as bribery, corruption, theft, embezzlement, abuse of office, rigging tenders, establishing and managing a criminal organization for profit. We believe that this journey will end and fade in time, before it even begins, because our people are common sense. Of course, it is inevitable that we will part ways with some friends. There are serious allegations. People who are injured by these allegations will join the clean ranks of the CHP without being acquitted." They know very well that they cannot get it."
