Mother and daughter, who were murdered in Konya, were sent off on their last journey in Karapınar district.
The incident took place yesterday at around 14:00 in the 3-storey building located on Hilmidede Street in Işıklar District of the central Selçuklu district. R.Ö., who lives in the apartment on the second floor of the building, started arguing with his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk (58) and sister Esmanur Öztürk (19). During the argument, R.Ö. killed his stepmother and sister with a knife he took from the kitchen. After the intervention of the police teams, the suspect was taken into custody before he could escape from the scene. The father of the murder suspect R.Ö., who was at home at the time of the incident, was taken to the hospital for control. While the suspect was taken to the police by police teams, the bodies of Dursuniye Öztürk and Esmanur Öztürk, who lost their lives, were taken to Konya Forensic Medicine Institute after examinations at the scene. After the procedures, the bodies of the mother and daughter were taken by their relatives and taken to Karapınar district. A funeral prayer was performed for Dursuniye and Esmanur Öztürk following the noon prayer. The bodies of the mother and daughter were buried in Karapınar Reşadiye Cemetery.
