The "The Will is Ours, the Victory is Ours" conference was held in Elazığ, hosted by Fırat University.
Speaking at the opening of the conference held at the Bahaeddin Ögel Conference Hall on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, Elazığ Governor Numan Hatipoğlu stated that the country was suddenly dragged into uncertainty with the coup attempt by FETO on July 15, but the nation stood by its will.
Stating that the nation showed the whole world that it would not let its will be mortgaged on the morning of July 16, Hatipoğlu said, "The stance of the patriotic members of the police, armed forces and judiciary that night literally determined the future of Türkiye." he said.
Fırat University Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş stated that they witnessed the rapid development of the country with the elimination of FETO, which tried every way to stabilize the country for years, and said, "I commemorate our martyrs who lost their lives on the night of July 15 with mercy and gratitude. Many of our citizens became veterans, I wish them good health." he said.
Member of the Supreme Court of Appeals and President of the Association for Unity in the Judiciary, Ömer Faruk Aydıner, stated that the nation showed a great example of sacrifice on the night of July 15, and that they commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country with mercy and the veterans with gratitude.
Aydıner said, "That night, God gave courage to our people. This great nation of ours took to the streets. He stood against the tanks. He stood up to those weapons and we repelled this coup, saving this country from being a divided country." he said.
