In the fire that broke out in Karakoçan district of Elazığ, 40 decares of barley field was reduced to ashes.
According to the information obtained, it started as a cover fire between Sağucak and Güllüce villages of Karakoçan for an unknown reason. The flames, which spread rapidly under the influence of the wind, spread to the barley cultivated area in the surrounding area and burned approximately 40 decares of barley field. While the steep and rugged terrain of the region where the fire occurred made extinguishing activities difficult, the villagers showed a great example of solidarity. Citizens supported the extinguishing activities by paving the way for fire crews to reach the area with construction equipment and tractors.
Thanks to the coordinated activities of the fire brigade, the fire was brought under control before it spread to other agricultural lands in the surrounding area. After the fire was completely extinguished, cooling activities were completed in the region and an investigation into the cause of the fire was initiated. - ELAZIG
