A turtle caught in the flames during the fire that broke out in a grassland in Kütahya's Emet district was rescued thanks to the attention of the fire brigade.
According to the information obtained, a grass fire broke out in Kırgıl Village of Emet district. Firefighters were dispatched to the area upon the notice of citizens who saw the flames and smoke rising from the area. During extinguishing activities, the teams noticed a turtle affected by the fire. The turtle, which was taken to a safe area, was cooled with water by the teams and then released into its natural habitat. While the fire was brought under control in a short time, the sensitivity shown by the fire crews not only to fight the flames but also to protect wildlife was appreciated by the citizens.
