The exhibition, consisting of works prepared within the scope of the "Incentive to Art and Life with Art Program" supported by Erdemir in cooperation with the General Directorate of Martyrs' Relatives and Veterans of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, met with its visitors at the Turkish Grand National Assembly on July 15, Democracy and National Unity Day. The program, which started as a pilot application in 2025, today reaches more than 700 participants in 68 provinces with the contributions of Erdemir, contributing to the participation of martyrs' relatives and veterans in social life through art.
The Art Encouragement and Living with Art Program, implemented within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed in January between Erdemir, one of Türkiye's leading companies in integrated flat steel production, and the General Directorate of Martyrs' Relatives and Veterans of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, aims to support the stronger participation of martyrs' relatives and veterans in social life with the healing power of art. While Erdemir provides all the art materials needed by the trainees within the scope of the program, it also contributes to the dissemination of the project throughout the country.
"The Will is Ours, the Victory is Ours: Encouragement of Art and Life with Art Exhibition", consisting of works prepared by relatives of martyrs, veterans and relatives of veterans, was presented to the visitors at the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Erdemir Board Members and Executive Directors İsmail Doğan and Tolga Saygun attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, for which Erdemir also provided event support, on behalf of the company.
The "Art Encouragement and Living with Art Program", which is open to the participation of spouses, mothers and fathers of martyrs and veterans, their children aged 15 and over, and veterans, aims to support the emotional well-being of the participants, strengthen their participation in social life and increase social solidarity by benefiting from the healing power of art under the coordination of psychologists.
Within the scope of the program, training was provided in more than 20 different branches of art, including painting, ceramics, marbling, tile, calligraphy, illumination, philography, woodworking, music, theater and traditional handicrafts. In addition to free art education, participants benefited from psychological counseling and the art material support they needed. The exhibition, which was opened to visitors at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, will continue to meet art lovers in different cities and locations in Türkiye in the coming period. - ISTANBUL
