The 'Our Will, Our Victory' program was held by the MIGRATION Administration within the scope of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day commemoration events.
The program, organized by the Directorate of Immigration Management at the Martyr Kadir Kırbaç Conference Hall, started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem. In his speech at the opening of the program, Head of Immigration Administration Muhammet Selami Yazıcı said that what happened on the night of July 15, 2016 was not just a coup attempt; He stated that the constitutional order of the Republic of Türkiye, the principle of the rule of law, democratic institutions and the understanding of government based on national will were targeted.
Emphasizing that the treason attempt was failed thanks to the determined stance of the nation and the state and the will of public institutions to protect the constitutional order, President Yazıcı said the following;
"As it is clearly stated in the 6th article of our Constitution: 'Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation.' This principle is one of the fundamental foundations of our Republic. No person, group or structure can exercise a state authority that does not derive its source from the constitution. "Like all institutions of our state, we are obliged to fulfill our duties only within the framework of the constitution, laws and the principles of the rule of law."
'A STRONG STATE IS POSSIBLE WITH STRONG INSTITUTIONS'
Noting that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is one of the most established and strategic institutions of the state, Yazıcı said that the Ministry; He stated that he assumed a vital responsibility in ensuring public order, protecting the life and property safety of citizens, ensuring the integrity of the administration and the effective execution of public services. Stating that citizens' trust in the state is largely shaped by the sensitivity of public officials, Mayor Yazıcı said, "One of the most important lessons that July 15 left us with is that a strong state is only possible with strong institutions, and strong institutions are only possible with public officials who have a high sense of duty, are competent, have merit and are loyal to the state."
Stating that not compromising the principle of the rule of law, respect for human rights and impartiality while performing duties should be an integral part of the corporate identity, Yazıcı stated that commemorating July 15 is not only to remember the past, but also to reiterate the determination to protect the constitutional order and national will. Muhammet Selami Yazıcı commemorated all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the indivisible integrity of the country, especially the July 15 martyrs, and wished the veterans a healthy and peaceful life.
FETO'S METHODS AND DISINFORMATION ACTIVITIES WERE DISCUSSED
In the program, İbrahim İrdem, Head of Media-Public Relations and Protocol Department of the General Directorate of Security, made a presentation on 'Historical Process and Latest Situation Analysis of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO)'. In his presentation, İrdem focused on the secrecy and insidious structuring methods used by FETO when infiltrating state institutions. Giving information about the current situation of the organization, İrdem pointed out that FETO continues its anti-Turkey lobbying activities and disinformation campaigns through its fugitive elements abroad, and emphasized that the fight against these global networks continues with determination.
