The fire, which broke out in a grassland in Bornova district of Izmir, spread to the forest. The teams dispatched to the region are fighting the flames from the air and land.
Flames broke out in the grassy area near the ring road of Gökdere District of Bornova district at around 13:00. The flames, growing under the influence of the wind, spread rapidly and spread into the forest. Upon notice, Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry and fire brigades were dispatched to the region. Teams are fighting the fire from the air and land.
