In the program organized within the framework of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day in Kastamonu, the martyrs of July 15 were commemorated with prayers. The greetings recited in the program created emotional moments for the citizens.
A commemoration program was held in Kastamonu on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. In the program held in Cumhuriyet Square, those who were martyred in the coup attempt carried out by the FETO/PDY armed terrorist organization on July 15, 2016 were commemorated with prayers. Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı, protocol members, political party and NGO representatives, veterans and citizens attended the program. After President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's speech was broadcast live, a moment of silence was observed for the martyrs. In the program, which continued with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the prayer of the hatims recited in Kastamonu, heroic poems were read and hymns were sung. Many clergy attending the program read the sela at the same time, which created emotional moments for the citizens. In the program, Governor Meftun Dallı presented a certificate of appreciation to those who participated in the banner race organized on the occasion of July 5th Democracy and National Unity Day.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı stated that those who make calculations without knowing the history and strong background of the Turkish nation have been defeated as always and will always be defeated, and said, "We are very happy to come together with you on the 15th of July Democracy and National Unity Day, which is the 10th anniversary of the treacherous FETO/PDY coup attempt, which targeted another of our state, and also one of the most blessed resistances of our nation. 15 July 2016 On this night, our beloved nation defended its homeland, flag, independence and future, as it has done many times throughout history, and put forward an epic struggle as an example to the world with its faith, courage and unshakable will. We are a nation that opened and closed eras, wrote heroic epics on the battlefield, overcame all kinds of difficulties and impossibilities with its faith, and inherited the legacy of heroism, unshakable faith and strong belief from centuries. "The young men who hit the roads that night, went to the squares, stood in front of the tanks, sweated and shed their blood, felt the same emotions in their hearts, brave young girls, mothers, fathers, grandfathers and grandmothers who left their children behind, every individual who was kneaded by the faith and will of our nation and the legacy inherited from its history, are the heroes of this manifestation," he said.
