The mother and her daughter, who died after being hit by a taxi in Konya, were sent off on their final journey.
The accident occurred at noon yesterday on Fetih Street in Mengene District of the central Karatay district. According to the information obtained, the taxi with license plate 42 TT 154, driven by Hasan K. (30), who was traveling in the direction of Altıyol Junction, hit the mother and daughter walking on the pavement at the intersection of Büyükkumköprü Street and Fetih Street as a result of the driver losing control of the steering wheel, and then crashed into parked vehicles and stopped. In the accident, mother Dilek Öz (53) and her daughter Ecrin Öz (13) died at the scene, and the driver Hasan K. was injured. The bodies of the mother and daughter, who were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution morgue, were taken by their relatives after the procedures. The funeral prayer was performed for Dilek Öz and Ecrin Öz following the noon prayer. The bodies of the mother and daughter were buried with prayers at Yağbasan Cemetery. Relatives of the family and many citizens attended the funeral prayer. - KONYA
