Passengers and their relatives who survived the terrible accident in which a double-decker passenger bus belonging to Metro Turizm overturned in Amasya's Merzifon district, in which 46 people were injured, 2 of them seriously, announced that they filed a complaint against the company.
Yasin Demir, one of the injured, who wore the medical team's clothes instead of his clothes torn in the accident, said, "I learned that this bus was two-storey while getting on. If I had known that the bus was two-storey, I would not have chosen it. I filed a complaint against the company. Human life is so worthless."
Explaining that the air conditioners were working on the bus, Demir said, "I was sleeping at the time of the accident. When I opened my eyes, I saw that the seats had fallen on me. I tried to get out with my own efforts. I broke the window and got out of the bus. The air conditioner was not working in the car. There was a malfunction of the air conditioner. 79 people survived the bus. My clothes were torn to shreds. The medical teams gave me new clothes."
Mehmet Erdaş, whose grandchild was injured in the accident, said, "I am complaining. They should close such companies. We see them on television. Accidents happen. You always look at Metro."
In the accident that occurred in the Karamağara location on the D100 highway, in the direction of Gümüşhacıköy-Merzifon, the Setra brand double-decker bus, belonging to Metro Turizm, with plate number 34 DT 5602, and with 75 passengers and 5 crew members, driven by Enver Büyükkol, who was going from Tekirdağ to Ordu, went out of control and overturned into the ditch for an unknown reason. Following the accident, emergency health, AFAD, fire brigade and security teams were dispatched to the scene. 46 people were injured in the accident, 2 of them seriously.
