Within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day in Köyceğiz district of Muğla, martyrs' graves were visited, Quran recitation was performed and prayers were read.
After the visit of 15 July Veteran Hamza Invisible, the '15 July' exhibition opened in Cumhuriyet Square was visited. As part of the activities that continued throughout the day, the "Our Will, Our Victory" march was held at 21.00. The march, which started in Cumhuriyet Square, ended in front of the Government House. Citizens marched with flags and anthems in their hands. The event, which continued at 21:30 in front of Köyceğiz Government House, started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. It continued with the recitation of the Holy Quran and prayer. In his speech, Köyceğiz District Governor Mert Kumcu said, "July 15 is not only a night of suppressing a coup, but also a night when national unity and solidarity, brotherhood and love of the homeland reach their peak. Our duty today is to strive with all our strength for a stronger Turkey in activity, production, science, education, technology and in every field, with the inspiration we received from that blessed struggle."
The award ceremony was held after the speech of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was listened to. Poems were read about the meaning and importance of the day. Video and film screenings were held. Various odes and hymns were read. The program ended at 00.13 with the sela recited simultaneously in all mosques throughout the district. - MUĞLA
