Rafting tours became more active in Köprüçay, located in Köprülü Canyon National Park in Antalya's Manavgat district, as the water level increased after the rains.
In the region, which is one of Türkiye's important rafting centers, rainfall in winter and spring increased the flow of the river. As the flow in the river accelerated with the rise of the water level, the "rapid" (fast-flowing part of the river) areas on the course became more suitable for rafting.
Visitors take photos around the historical bridge during rafting tours on the approximately 14-kilometer track, and spend the day in nature with rowing, swimming and jumping breaks. In addition to rafting, jeep, ATV and buggy safaris, zipline activities and trips to Tazı Canyon and Selge Ancient City are also organized in the region.
Tornado Rafting business owner Bekir Ünal told the AA reporter that Köprülü Canyon is one of the most special daily tourism areas of Antalya with its nature, endemic vegetation, drinkable water resources and cool air.
Stating that the region stands out not only with rafting, but also with nature sports, canyon trips, camping and caravan tourism, Ünal said that visitors can now stay in the region for a few days and do different activities.

Ünal, who is also a member of the Technical Board of the Turkish Rafting Federation, stated that he closely follows many rivers in Türkiye and said that Köprüçay offered a very enjoyable course this year.
Pointing out that the flow rate of the river is at an ideal level for rafting, Ünal said, "Right now, Köprüçay offers a very enjoyable environment where people can raft with its real flow rate. We have recaptured the real flow rate of 15 years ago. The fast-flowing parts of the river are very beautiful. From an environment where people had to row all the time when they came, it has turned into a serious entertainment area this year." he said.
Klass Rafting business owner Mehmet Taş also noted that Köprüçay experienced one of the best water levels in the last 15 years.
Stating that in the past years, boats had difficulty moving at some points due to the low water level, Taş said, "The water level is so high that it is the perfect time for rafting. Last year, boats could not go in most places, we had to row. But this year, there is no such situation. Adventure lovers will see the difference when they come here." he said.
Taş stated that July and August are an important period for those who want to raft in Köprülü Canyon, and that visitors spend nearly 5 hours in the region with a meal and rest program after the tours.
Stating that there was a decrease of up to 35 percent in participation in the first period of the season compared to previous years, operators noted that they expect the interest of local and foreign tourists to Köprülü Canyon to increase in July and August with the increase in air temperatures.
