MANİSA Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Advisor Demirhan Gözaçan, his driver Anıl Demir and Şehzadeler A.Ş. Within the scope of the 'bribery' investigation, for which General Manager Cem Yüzer was sent to prison, 12 suspects were detained in a simultaneous operation in 5 provinces centered in Manisa.
An operation was carried out in Manisa on June 10 within the scope of the criminal organization and bribery investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In the investigation, in line with the statements given by the suspended Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım within the scope of effective regret, Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) reports and HTS records, Şehzadeler Municipality subsidiary Şehzadeler A.Ş. General Manager Cem Yüzer and Anıl Demir, driver of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Advisor Demirhan Gözaçan, were taken into custody. During searches at the suspects' homes, some digital materials and documents were seized for examination.
It was stated that Özkan Yalım, who testified by taking advantage of the provisions of effective repentance, stated that he delivered 1 million TL to Demirhan Gözaçan in Denizli, and Gözaçan was detained for the crimes of 'Membership of a criminal organization for profit' and 'Bribery'. Gözaçan was also sent to prison for this case. In addition to Gözaçan, Anıl Demir and Cem Yüzer were also sent to prison during the court hearing.
Following the statements taken within the scope of the investigation, Manisa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office also launched an operation. While the scope of the investigation was expanded in line with MASAK reports, a simultaneous operation was organized in İzmir, Muğla, Istanbul and Mersin, based in Manisa, against people who were considered to be in contact with the suspects.
During the operation, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Council CHP Group Deputy Chairman A.A.C., Ü.Ö.O., M.B., T.S.Ö., Y.K., M.Y., A.Ç., S.O., Ş.Ç., N.K., S.Ç. and F.G. He was sent into custody.
