The glacial lakes at the top of the Munzur Mountains, at an altitude of 3,450 meters, rising between the borders of Erzincan and Tunceli, become the center of attention of nature lovers with the unique natural view they offer in the summer.

Glacier lakes, especially Green Lake and Merk Plateau, which contain different shades of blue, turquoise and green, are on the travel route of nature lovers from surrounding provinces, especially Erzincan. The region is also among the frequent destinations of local and foreign campers and climbers.

The region, which can be reached by a round-trip hiking trail that takes approximately 10 hours, attracts attention not only with its natural beauty but also with its rich wildlife. Along the track, brown bears, hooked-horned mountain goats (şamua) and wild goats can be seen on snow-covered peaks.

Munzur Mountains, which are also rich in spring waters, offer visitors the opportunity to cool off and rest during the walk, while also providing a visual feast for photography enthusiasts with its unique view.

Nature lover Hakan Gökalp stated that the Munzur Mountains have a fascinating geography and said, "Under the guidance of Murat Aydemir, we came to Green Lake in the natural wonder Munzur Mountains. Even though it was a bit of a difficult and arduous journey, it was well worth coming here." he said.
