The suspects, who targeted the citizens in the Patnos district of Ağrı and tried to force the doors of the houses to be opened with cards, bread and similar excuses, were caught before they could commit any theft as a result of the meticulous work of the Patnos District Police Department Public Security Bureau teams.
According to the information obtained, the female suspects, who hid their faces with masks, went around the neighborhoods with spare clothes in the bags they carried on their backs and knocked on the doors of houses one by one. It was determined that the suspects, who made excuses such as asking for a card, demanding bread, and similar excuses to the citizens who opened the door, tried to determine whether anyone was at home or not.
It was learned that the suspects were planning to commit theft by targeting houses where they thought no one was present, but as a result of the intelligence activities carried out by the Patnos District Police Department Public Security Bureau teams and the meticulous examination of hundreds of security cameras, they were caught before they could implement their plans.
The suspects detained during the operation were B.A. and Ö.G. It was stated that there were women named and that they were registered in the population of Mersin and Mardin. In the investigations carried out by the police units, it is evaluated that the suspects were involved in many incidents in different provinces with similar methods and had extensive criminal records.
On the other hand, it was claimed that the suspects claimed that they were pregnant and made various excuses in order to avoid going to prison when they were caught. It was learned that judicial proceedings against them were ongoing.
