On the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, the grave of Martyr Petty Officer Ömer Halisdemir, who changed the course of the coup with his heroism during the coup attempt of FETO, in the Çukurkuyu town of Niğde's Bor district is flooded with visitors.
Citizens from all over Türkiye, as well as visitors from abroad, visited the martyr's grave and prayed. During the visits where emotional moments were experienced, citizens left carnations on the grave and commemorated the martyr Ömer Halisdemir with mercy and gratitude. One of the most striking visitors was the Demir family from Vienna, Austria. Family; He named his sons, who were born on July 15, 2019, Ömer Halis, after the heroic martyr. Little Ömer Halis Demir, who turned 7 after many years, visited the grave of the hero whose name he bears for the first time. The family stated that they made this visit so that their children could get to know the hero whose name they bear and learn about his struggle for the homeland, and that Ömer Halisdemir will always live in the hearts of the Turkish nation. On the other hand, residents of Bor Ahmet Kuddusi Nursing Home also visited the grave of martyr Ömer Halisdemir within the scope of the program.
After reading the Quran at the grave, the residents of the nursing home prayed and commemorated all the martyrs, especially Ömer Halisdemir. - NIGDE
