The cortege, which started from Istanbul Airport, came to Atatürk Airport and reminded once again of the struggle that took place on the night of July 15. Speaking in the program, Istanbul Deputy Governor Mehmet Sülün touched upon the struggle and said, "You were here that day, just like the thousands of our citizens who rushed here when our President called our nation to the squares and airports. You are both witnesses and heroes of that night, of that heroic epic. The Turkish nation is perhaps the only nation in the world where ordinary people suddenly turned into heroes. There were thousands of citizens there that night, who killed death and sought martyrdom. May God always help the Turkish nation. "May God always preserve the heroism of this nation. We are here again today. Our 253 taxi drivers are here to remember that day, to tell our heroism once again, and to commemorate our martyrs with mercy and gratitude," he said.

Fahrettin Can, President of Istanbul Airport Taxi Drivers Cooperative, said, "As Atatürk Airport Taxi Drivers Cooperative, we have clearly stated our stance from the first moment. We did not look left or right. We never looked at who was there, who was coming, who was standing next to us. We hoisted our flags on the building, hung our banners, and stood against them. We are people who eat the bread of this state and work with the prayers of this nation. We have not and will not remain silent in the face of any threat to our state. "Every aspect of our steering is always directed towards our nation and our state. That night, the taxi drivers did not just carry passengers. We took responsibility when necessary and showed courage when necessary. We mobilized all the resources of our cooperative for our people who came to the airport." he said.
The taxi driver named Murat Pets stated that they stood tall against this attempt that night and said, "I have been driving a taxi for about 12-13 years. 10 years ago, these dark hands came and tried to stage a coup in our country. But we stood in front of them as a people. Our cooperative, Ataturk Airport Cooperative, stood tall against this. As taxi drivers, we did not give way. We fought with our own efforts.
