TRT Oran Campus, which was targeted by the coup plotters during the July 15 coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), hosted the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Event.

TRT General Manager Mehmet Zahid Sobacı, TRT managers and employees attended the commemoration program held at TRT Oran Campus.

Within the scope of the program, prayers were said for the martyrs, the Holy Quran was recitation and sala, which became the symbol of the night of July 15, was recited. At the commemoration event, a plaque was presented to the July 15 veterans who served at TRT for their courage and sacrifice that night.

In his speech in the program, TRT General Manager Sobacı stated that July 15 was a historical turning point in which the Turkish nation protected its will and sacred values ​​at the expense of its life.

Emphasizing that the coup plotters could not take into account the resistance of the Turkish nation, Sobacı said, "They did not take into account the courage, foresight and love of freedom of our beloved nation. As a result of all these recklessness, the betrayal they had been planning for years crashed into pieces full of faith." he said.

Reminding that millions of citizens came to the squares upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Sobacı said, "This nation fought with faith and trust against tanks, rifles and planes. That night, we showed the whole world what it means to be a nation." he said.

Stating that Türkiye has left the periods of coup and tutelage behind, Sobacı emphasized that the nation declared to the whole world that it would not allow any initiative that would harm the national will with the resistance it showed on July 15.

Pointing out the importance of transferring the spirit of July 15 to new generations, Sobacı noted that the content and broadcasts of TRT, targeted by traitors, regarding July 15 are not just a broadcasting activity, but a duty of loyalty to martyrs and veterans.

Sobacı said, "As the public broadcaster of our country, we are raising the voice of the truth that was tried to be silenced that night more strongly today. We say to the whole world once again and with a loud voice, 'the will is ours, the victory is ours'. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the projects we implemented." he said.
